Special Interview: Manuela Olive, swimmer and Chlore Girl
Manuela Olive, 66, a swimmer and certified Chlore Girl for 5 years, shares her experience with the brand.
"I have one passion: swimming"
A former tennis player, after several injuries, I took up swimming quite late (...) and only in the pool. I like my lanes and swimming lengths.
Why swimming?
Swimming allows me to decompress. I had a very stressful job and constant pressure. When I am underwater, I fully reconnect with myself; I hear my breathing, and it relaxes me enormously.
What is your favorite stroke?
I mainly swim front crawl – I swim several kilometers every day. It’s a full-body stroke, and above all, it’s a stroke that moves quite fast. Since I am hyperactive, I feel like I’m moving well with this stroke.

How long have you known Chlore?
I have known Chlore surely since its inception. At any rate, 4 or 5 years. I was looking for racerback swimsuits. I love this cut and I love swimming in them. I became loyal to this brand because the colors change all the time; the swimsuits are elegant, refined, and above all, because I feel good in this swimsuit.
What do you like about Chlore?
The swimsuits are elegant and refined, and they hold up well! That means when I do my flip turn, I don't want any unpleasant shifting of the swimsuit. And then, they are beautiful; there are magnificent colors. The designs are superb, and there are styles that adapt to all bodies, and that is important after all! You feel good!

What keeps you loyal to Chlore?
Oh, but I’m not going to change because every time there is a new swimsuit, it’s superb! It’s different, original, and beautiful. I use them for gymnastics or swimming. And then with the new colors, there are constantly new things! So, I follow the brand!
What is your favorite Chlore swimsuit?
So, my favorite model is the BONDI (...) in every color. Pool blue, royal, black, I think I’ve tried just about everything! It’s super practical with the zipper that makes it easy to put on, and then you can adjust it up or down depending on how you want to wear the swimsuit. The racerback is also very important to me.
Otherwise, I have the shorty swimsuits (Dalry Low/High and Alice) that I like too. I use them for floor gymnastics or even Pilates. They are just so comfortable!
Three words to define the Chlore brand?
I would say refinement, elegance, and above all, great comfort!
