How to Care for Your CHLORE Swimsuit

Comment entretenir son maillot de bain Chlore?

A swimsuit is exposed to harsh conditions: chlorine, salt, heat and friction. Without proper care, technical fabrics can quickly lose their elasticity, support and vibrant colour. Fortunately, a few simple steps can help preserve the quality of your swimsuit over time.

Rinse Your Swimsuit After Every Wear

After every swim in the pool or sea, it is essential to rinse your swimsuit thoroughly with fresh water.

A simple rinse is not enough every time, but it helps remove chlorine, salt and other residues while preserving the fabric and its colours.

Wash Regularly at 30°C

Even if you rinse your swimsuit after every swim, a proper wash is still essential from time to time, either by hand or in the washing machine on a delicate cycle.

To protect the fabric:

  • Use a mild detergent.
  • Avoid harsh products.
  • When machine washing, use a laundry bag.
  • Never use bleach.

Heat can weaken elastane and damage the fibres. Always allow your swimsuit to air-dry in the shade to preserve its colours.

Never Leave a Wet Swimsuit Inside Its Pouch

After a swim, it can be tempting to slip your wet swimsuit into its pouch or a sports bag and forget about it for the rest of the day. However, this habit encourages the growth of bacteria and unpleasant odours on the fabric.

A wet swimsuit left folded, especially near a source of heat, can deteriorate quickly.

The right habit: take your swimsuit out of your bag as soon as possible and let it air-dry.

Just a few minutes of care can help preserve the quality, shape and performance of your swimsuit for longer.
